Adding stuffing also increases the weight, and therefore, the cook time of the bird. Increasing its chances of becoming dry and less succulent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-medium-font-size\">However, if you did want to stuff it, we would recommend making up a stuffing recipe, such as the one below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-black-color has-css-opacity has-black-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">500g Sausage meat<\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">1 Finely chopped onion<\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">45g Fresh white breadcrumbs<\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">Zest of half an unwaxed lemon or orange<\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">140g Ready cooked &amp; peeled chestnuts<\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">Quarter teaspoon of ground cloves<\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">20g Finely chopped flat leaf parsley<\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">1 medium free range egg<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-black-color has-css-opacity has-black-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong>Method<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-medium-font-size\">Combine all ingredients together in a bowl, and lightly season with a sprinkle of salt and pepper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-black-color has-css-opacity has-black-background-color has-background is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-medium-font-size\">Stuff the turkey neck with a third of the mixture, and the body cavity with another third of the stuffing but this time, loosely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-black-color has-css-opacity has-black-background-color has-background is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-medium-font-size\">This will help increase heat circulation and provide a better cook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-black-color has-css-opacity has-black-background-color has-background is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-medium-font-size\">Roll the remaining stuffing into balls, and cook later, on a baking tray in the oven for 20-25 minutes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-black-color has-css-opacity has-black-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong>Our Preferred Method<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-medium-font-size\">As a compromise to both methods above, cook both the stuffing and turkey separately. However, place your stuffing into the cavity of the bird during its resting period.
